Who We Are
Charles P. Myrick is the owner of Myrick CPA, a full-service certified public accounting firm in Washington, DC. Myrick CPA has established a reputation in the industry by providing quality financial and accounting services and advice to small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals. The firm also provides tax planning and preparation services, small business accounting services, business problem solving and CFO services, financial and estate planning services, and tax resolution and IRS representation. As a small business, Myrick CPA uniquely understands the issues and concerns of small organizations and provides a wealth of experience and technical skills in developing strategies designed to help your organization grow.
Charles P. Myrick is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Business and is a member of the Maryland Society of Accountants, The Greater Washington Society of Accountants, and The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has over thirty years of financial and business experience and began his accounting career as Staff Accountant for Price Waterhouse.
Charles became a Senior Accountant with the firm Reznick, Fedder, and Silverman, where he managed audits of real estate development projects, including HUD compliance audits. He then transitioned to the private sector and was Assistant Controller for Western Development Corporation. There, Charles managed the accounting function for the construction and development of large regional shopping centers, including Washington Harbor and Potomac Mills in the Washington, DC area.
In addition to establishing Myrick CPA in 1987 and developing the firm to its present size of several full-time certified public accountants and support staff members, Charles has developed a network with other professionals needed to form a complete financial team suited to meet your needs. He has served as a board member and advisor to various organizations. Charles is a member of the Personal Financial Planning Division and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Tax Division.
